Miles McBride remains out for the New York Knicks, recovering from core muscle surgery in early February.
While previous McBride injury updates have signaled good news for the Knicks, the backup guard remains without a direct timeline for a return.
However, in the lead-up to New York’s Tuesday night game against the New Orleans Pelicans, McBride was seen warming up and could be in line to return sooner than originally expected.

The original return timeline for McBride was vague, as it was reported that he expected to be back before the start of the postseason.
However, while he was warming up before the Knicks game against the Pelicans, James L. Edwards of The Athletic reported that a McBride return could come sometime soon, potentially in the final few games of the regular season to get him ramped up for what the team expects to be another deep playoff run.

Edwards had previously reported that McBride was practicing, but head coach Mike Brown had said that the team still didn’t expect him to return in their next few games. But now, with how he looked in warmups, despite remaining on the injury report versus New Orleans, the 25-year-old guard could be in line to get back on the court soon.

Despite the latest injury update pointing to good news for the Knicks, McBride remains on the injury report and didn’t play on Tuesday.
Along with him, Landry Shamet, dealing with a knee and tibia injury, was ruled out for the contest against the Pelicans.
Two-way players Kevin McCullar, Ariel Hukporti, and Dillon Jones were also ruled out, while Trey Jemison was upgraded to available.

The New York Knicks assign Ariel Hukporti to the Westchester Knicks.
New York has been up and down this season, to say the least, but they’ve shown signs of being true title contenders, despite questions on Brown leading the team, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges‘ recent inconsistency.
The Knicks are 47-25 and third in the East, slated to have home-court advantage in the first round of the postseason.
