FLACCO RE-SIGNS WITH BENGALS
The Steelers’ quarterback options are thin at this point in the offseason. Most of the quality starting quarterbacks are on teams. Most of the free agents left have major flaws. While the Steelers are waiting on Aaron Rodgers, he could still retire. Joe Flacco was another veteran option for them, but he’s off the table now.
ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Twitter that Flacco has re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on a one-year deal. Flacco was traded to the Bengals last year, and he started six games for them. While he expressed an interest in potentially starting somewhere, he seems comfortable sticking around in Cincinnati as a backup.
ODELL BECKHAM JR. RENEWED INTEREST
While the Steelers traded for Michael Pittman Jr., they still have a need at wide receiver. Their depth behind Pittman and DK Metcalf isn’t great. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of solid free-agent receivers left. The Steelers might have to turn to the draft to fill out that room. They could always take a chance on a veteran, too. Odell Beckham Jr. has previously expressed interest in playing for the Steelers.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared on Twitter that Beckham received renewed interest after his showing at a recent flag football event. Beckham was one of the league’s best receivers a decade ago. However, injuries slowed him down. He’s 33 years old, and he hasn’t played in the league since 2024, though. The Steelers should pass on him, no matter what Schultz’s report says.

HOFFMAN HYPE VIDEO
The Steelers entered this offseason with a lot of needs, and they did a good job attacking most of them. While quarterback is still an issue, they’ve added at most other positions of need. That includes the offensive line. The Steelers lost Isaac Seumalo in free agency, so they had a hole at left guard. As a result, they signed Brock Hoffman to potentially start there.
Hoffman seems excited to be a Steeler, too. He posted a video on Twitter hyping up his signing being official. Hoffman spent the last four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, starting 16 games. He’s mostly been a rotational piece, but perhaps his role will grow in Pittsburgh.
