Could the Broncos be playing outside the United States once again in the 2026 season?
If they do, there’s only one possible option: against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City. Which is why NFL Network’s Steve Wyche asked J.K. Dobbins about the possibility when the Broncos running back joined him and Ian Rapoport on NFL Network Tuesday.
Dobbins didn’t offer a definitive answer. But his non-answer may have said quite a bit.
“I don’t know anything. I plead the Fifth. I don’t know anything,” he said, laughing.
The Broncos would certainly welcome a trip to Mexico City; the team has international home marketing rights there.
Wyche asked Dobbins about the idea after the team’s leading rusher in 2025 discussed holding a recent football camp down there. Dobbins’ outreach to south of the border comes as no surprise, as he is fluent in Spanish and can seamlessly switch between English and Spanish in interviews. He gained that proficiency thanks to immersion in Guadalajara, Mexico.
J.K. Dobbins hosted a football camp in Mexico City, so he was asked about whether he was tipping them off about the Broncos being the 49ers' opponent in Mexico City this season:
Dobbins' reply, laughing: "I don't know anything. I plead the fifth. I don't know anything." https://t.co/TQzjKg6PA3

“I got some Spanish people in my family. And I also love to touch kids of a different type of upbringing,” Dobbins said. “I love to touch the kids who don’t have it as fortunate as others. And so. Mexico was a great opportunity for me because I want to touch the kids — not only in English, but in Spanish.
“So, going out there to a less fortunate place, it was amazing. And the kids were amazing. I had so much fun. And they know football. They’re pretty athletic. It’s crazy how much football there is in Mexico City. It’s amazing. I had a blast.
“Just seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and whenever I would speak Spanish to them, they loved that. And it was great, man. I had a great time and the city was great. The fans were great. There’s a bunch of fans. Broncos Country, it runs deep in Mexico City and all through Mexico. So, it was great. I had a really great time and it was a blessing to be there.”
And perhaps the Broncos could be back again.
