Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is reportedly available for trade.
The Memphis Grizzlies have made a final decision on Ja Morant’s recovery timeline.
On Tuesday, March 24, the Grizzlies officially announced that Morant will miss the rest of the 2025-2026 NBA season.
via Memphis Grizzlies: Morant continues to progress in his rehabilitation of a UCL sprain in his left elbow. Following a recent consultation to advise on lingering discomfort, it was recommended that Morant receive a PRP injection to further optimize ligament healing. Morant will begin offloading the elbow following the injection and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season, but he is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-2027 season.

The @memgrizz today announced the following medical updates for Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey:
Morant last played for the Grizzlies back in January. He returned from a six-game absence on January 18, to face the Orlando Magic.
At the time, Morant shot 7-13 from the field to score 24 points. The Grizzlies defeated the Magic 126-109.
In the following game against the Atlanta Hawks, Morant checked in for 29 minutes. He shot 7-15 from the field to score 23 points, while dishing out 12 assists. The Grizzlies came up short with a 124-122 loss.
Following the Atlanta game, Morant went out with his current issue. Amid his recovery, the Grizzlies were rumored to be shopping the star guard around ahead of the February trade deadline.

While Morant has some strong links to several organizations, the Grizzlies weren’t known to be very far on trade talks. Morant was more than content with remaining in Memphis. However, he didn’t get a chance to suit up past the deadline, despite remaining with the Grizzlies.
Morant’s future with the Grizzlies will remain in question. But for the time being, his focus will be on recovering from his season-ending injury.
Morant wraps up the 2025-2026 season with 20 games played. He shot 41.0% from the field, while scoring 19.5 points per game. He also produced an average of 8.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.
