In his postgame speech after the Knicks' 121-116 home victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, head coach Mike Brown revealed that McBride has progressed from scrimmaging (via Ian Begley of SNY).
McBride notably underwent sports hernia surgery on Feb. 6. He has missed the Knicks' last 27 games.
His return would be huge for the Knicks' title chances, and it will be interesting how Brown manages the team's loaded backcourt in the looming return of the 25-year-old.
McBride was enjoying a career season before going down with the hernia injury. In 35 games, he is averaging 12.9 points in 42 percent three-point shooting with 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
