Jokic finished the game with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists, also hitting a game-winning jump shot with 11 seconds remaining to give the Nuggets a very important 125–123 victory.
After the game, when asked about his incredible night and his season-high 17 assists, he, as usual, gave all the credit to his teammates, saying they were in the spots they were supposed to be and that it just happens.
"Guys were in those spots where they're supposed to be, they were cutting and I was just finding them. It just happens," Jokic said after the game.
With this win, the Nuggets improved to 45–28 in the Western Conference standings, now sitting fourth and just one win behind the third-place Los Angeles Lakers.
Meanwhile, the Suns, with this loss, are now four games behind the sixth seed in the West, sitting seventh with a 40–33 record.
