Nuggets' Nikola Jokic and Suns' Devin Booker
The Phoenix Suns suffered a heartbreaker Tuesday night, falling 123-121 at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.
Suns fall short to nikola jokic, Nuggets
Devin Booker’s potential game-winner fell just short at the buzzer, as a floater from Nikola Jokic was what ultimately put the Nuggets up for good.
Booker finished the game with a team-high 22 points but he shot just 5-of-14 from the field. On the other side, Jokic recorded a massive triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 17 assists. Phoenix enjoyed the returns of Grayson Allen (21 points) and Royce O’Neale (17 points) but their contributions just weren’t quite enough.
While it was a tough loss, the Suns showed a few things to be encouraged by throughout the course of the game.
Ultimately, the team has fallen to 40-33 on the season and will again be in search of answers moving forward. PHNX Suns breaks down a thriller that came down to the final seconds. Follow the show: @PHNX_Suns, @ErikRuby, @GilMcGregor_, @Espo and @StephenPG3!
