The Charlotte Hornets are battling in the Eastern Conference, looking to finish in the top-eight in order to host a Play-In Tournament game.
Entering Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings, Charlotte trailed the Orlando Magic by one game for eighth.
Charlotte dominated from start to finish, outscoring the Kings in every quarter as they cruised to a 44-point victory.
In the win, the Hornets knocked down 26 three-pointers, which tied their franchise record for a single game.
Seven Hornets made multiple three-pointers, including the trio of Kon Knueppel, Coby White and LaMelo Ball who each made four or more.
Of the three, Coby White's performance off the bench stood out. White finished with 27 points in 19 minutes, knocking down six triples and finishing 9-for-12 from the field.
Following the game, White spoke about Charlotte's mindset as the playoffs near.
"We've all got one common denominator and that's wanting to win," said White. "We realize that some nights it could be your night, some nights it could be somebody else's night. We're ok with that. We're ok with sacrificing. Everybody wants to win and that's how it's unfolding."
With the victory, the Hornets have now won four straight and six of their last seven.
Additionally, Orlando fell to the Cavaliers, putting the Hornets, Heat and Magic tied for the eighth seed at 38-34.
With nine games remaining, the Hornets will finish out their current homestand with difficult matchups against the Knicks, 76ers and Celtics.
