MINNEAPOLIS (KTTC) – It’s one of the big events on the NFL calendar-the NFL Draft.
Minnesota Sports and Events with partners U.S. Bank Stadium and the Minnesota Vikings have submitted a bid to host the 2028 NFL Draft.
The organization says it represents an incredible opportunity to showcase the Twin Cities, the stadium and the state of Minnesota on a global stage. It would also highlight the region’s momentum, hospitality offerings and passionate fan base.
“Hosting the NFL Draft would be a defining moment for Minnesota - not just as a world-class event, but as a global showcase of who we are. We’ve proven we can deliver on the biggest stages, and this bid reflects both our ambition and our confidence in what this region can offer. At the same time, opportunities like this reinforce the importance of establishing a sustainable, long-term funding model, so Minnesota can remain competitive for events of this scale in the future.”
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey also shared the news in a video on his X account Wednesday morning.
Pittsburgh is hosting the 2026 NFL Draft April 23-25.
