While we are currently in what is considered the quiet season in the NFL, news keeps on coming in with the sport's storylines continued throughout the year.
NFL teams have now all but finished their free agency moves, with veteran players likely to be waiting until after the draft - with their signings not costing teams any compensation draft picks. The likes of Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, Bobby Wagner and Von Miller remain available, and are almost certain to be snapped up quickly after the draft comes to a close in late April.

One player who will not be available though, is Tampa Bay Buccaneers inside linebacker Lavonte David. Meanwhile, Pat McAfee and Dan Orlovsky had an explosive argument on ESPN over a Fernando Mendoza debate.

Lavonte David announces retirement
A likely future Hall of Famer, David has decided to call it a career after 14 years in the league - all coming with the Bucs. David had been a captain of the team in their Super Bowl winning season alongside Tom Brady - who spoke highly of him.
David had been the emotional leader of the team for eight years before Brady joined, with the legendary quarterback calling him after he agreed to sign.
The linebacker recalled their conversation over the phone, stating: "He told me, ‘Hey man, I’m coming to your guys’ locker room. You guys don’t treat me no different, allow me to earn my respect from you guys.'

“And when he said that, I was like, ‘What? Like, bro, whatever you want in this locker room, you can have it bro, it’s yours.'"
Brady told David: "'This is your locker room now, what are you talking about?’ Once he said that, it kind of changed my whole perception of Tom, man. Still to this day, man, great dude.”
When announcing his retirement this week, David said: "I feel it's time to move on and find a different path in life, be a dad to that amazing little girl over there. Having a girl helped me become a man, helped me understand what's important in life."
The Buccaneers are likely to replace David in the NFL Draft, in what is seen as the best class for off-ball linebackers in years.

"There will be massive bison outside the brand new Highmark Stadium, and they will be so big that it will not embarrass the entire franchise with little baby-a-- bison.

"These bison are big. These bison are strong. These bison are ready to go on a run, maybe to the Super Bowl for Buffalo."
The stadium is set to be ready for the beginning of the 2026 season, in which Josh Allen and his team will hope to put their postseason woes behind them.
