Draymond Green reveals real-time reaction to Moody devastating injury

Draymond Green provided a detailed first-hand account of Moses Moody's injury, explaining how the moment initially looked like a slip before medical staff confirmed a serious knee issue.

The Golden State Warriors are dealing with a major setback after Moses Moody was diagnosed with a torn left patellar tendon, but the most striking part of the story came from what Draymond Green witnessed on the court in real time.

Speaking on the Draymond Green Show, Green gave a detailed account of the moment Moody went down during Monday's game in Dallas, describing how quickly the situation turned from a seemingly minor slip into a serious injury.

"We all thought he slipped," Green said. "I'm just standing there looking at Moses, and initially he asked to get up, he was like 'they can let me walk, I'm good, I can walk,' and the doctor goes 'nah man, he can't, it's his patellar,' and I was like 'WHOA.'"

Green later described the emotional impact of the situation, emphasizing both the shock and the respect he has for Moody's work ethic.

"It's brutal," he explained. "We've been waiting for him to get back healthy. Moses is a guy who does everything right."

The injury happened late in overtime as Moody planted to go up for a transition dunk after stealing the ball from Cooper Flagg. He went down with 1:13 remaining and did not get up on his own, immediately grabbing his knee.

Moody had just returned from a 10-game absence due to a right wrist sprain and was putting together one of his best performances of the season with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals before the injury ended his night and, ultimately, his season.
