The Kansas City Chiefs signed running back Kenneth Walker to a four-year deal this offseason. He played for the Seattle Seahawks for the first four seasons of his NFL career. Walker won Super Bowl LX MVP with Seattle. He was the first running back since Terrell Davis to win Super Bowl MVP.

With this signing for Kansas City, it should fix up the running game for them. He rushed for 1,027 yards on 221 carries and five touchdowns, along with averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Walker also caught 31 passes for 282 yards receiving and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 9,1 yards per carry. He is only 25 years old. Despite the great year he had with Seattle last season, should the Chiefs be worried about his potential future with the team?
PFF Believes That the Kansas City Chiefs Will Regret the Kenneth Walker Signing

Profootballfocus.com writer Zoltan Buday wrote about one signing that each team would potentially like and regret. He thinks that the Chiefs are going to potentially regret signing Walker to that four-year deal. Buday said,
“Walker was PFF’s highest-graded running back (91.4) in 2025, and he also earned Super Bowl MVP honors. He ranked among the top 10 running backs in PFF overall grade in 2023 and 2024, as well. However, there are still concerns about this acquisition, as the Chiefs made Walker the fourth-highest-paid running back in the league. While he was excellent in his role with the Seahawks, he hasn’t topped 500 regular-season snaps in any of the past three seasons. Across his four seasons in Seattle, he ranked just 17th among all running backs in snaps (2,038).
If Walker can replicate his level of play as a bell-cow running back, then he will be worth every penny.”
Walker is most likely going to be the three-down running back for the Chiefs. With that being said, Isiah Pacheco signed with the Detroit Lions in free agency so there is a case for him to have a good year for them.
