Los Angeles Rams’ superstar wide receiver, Puka Nacua is officially being sued for assault and battery, according to a report from TMZ. A hearing is scheduled for April 14.
The alleged victim, Madison Atiabi, originally requested a restraining order that was denied by a judge in Los Angeles.
Atiabi’s attorney filed an official lawsuit Wednesday morning, March 25. The lawsuit cites gender violence, assault, battery, and negligence. It is unclear how much money Atiabi is seeking.

Puka Nacua Is Being Sued for Physical Suffer And Emotional Distress.
TMZ reports that Puka Nacua’s victim, Atiabi claims she’s “suffered actual damages, including physical injury, pain and suffering, medical expenses, and severe emotional distress.”
Nacua and the woman went out to dinner on December 31, 2025. “The woman says the night got off to a rocky start after the 24-year-old allegedly said, ‘f*** all the Jews’ during dinner, which distressed her,” TMZ reported.
After the pair finished eating, the woman and her friend joined Puka and others in a sprinter van.
“She says Puka, out of nowhere, ‘dropped his head into [her] girlfriend’s lap and crotch area and bit her thumb so forcefully that she screamed in acute pain’ … before turning to her and biting her left shoulder and breaking skin, leaving a circular imprint of his teeth,” TMZ reported.
Puka Nacua has denied these allegations through his attorney.
“Puka denies these allegations in the strongest possible terms,” Nacua’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern II said in a statement to USA Today. “We will be filing a defamation lawsuit and pursuing all available legal remedies in response to these false and damaging statements.”
Nacua’s attorney fired back at the lawsuit stating, “Let’s be clear about what this case is — and what it is not. This matter is not sexual in nature, nor does it involve any allegation of domestic violence,” McCathern said in a statement to TMZ. “If it did, the filings would look very different. They do not.”
“It also doesn’t involve any elements of antisemitism.” McCathern stated. “A completely sober witness has stated unequivocally that Puka never made the comments Ms. Atiabi claims.”

Puka Nacua’s Offseason Endeavors Causes Turmoil With Los Angeles Rams
After a head-turning 2025 season, Puka Nacua has continued to make headlines this offseason.
His offseason tear began when NFC West rival, the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl, two weeks prior to defeating the Rams in the NFC Championship.
Nacua made a jab at quarterback Sam Darnold through a post on X.

The wide receiver faced immediate backlash from fans.
Nacua was also out with numerous influencers and Instagram models.
He was arm-in-arm with comedian, influencer Hannah Stocking, attended the Dayton 500 with wrestling star Charlotte Flair, spotted with influencer Sara Saffari, and hung out with social media star Megan Eugenio–or Overtime Megan–at a Los Angeles Kings game.
Many claim Nacua is having the ‘worst offseason ever,’ and even comparing him to former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown.
The Los Angeles Rams organization has yet to comment on his actions.
