The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of hosting several pre-draft top-30 visits.

A top-30 visit is a formal meeting between a draft prospect and an NFL team at its facilities. There are no workouts, but players meet with coaches and executives to get a feel if they are a good fit for each other, while also undergoing medical evaluations.

The Chiefs could go multiple different directions with their No. 9 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. They have needs on both sides of the ball, but many of their upcoming top-30 visits are with offensive players.

NFL and college football analyst Ryan Fowler reported that Tate is set to meet with the Chiefs.

• Washington Commanders • New York Giants • Kansas City Chiefs • New Orleans Saints • Tennessee Titans

With others to be scheduled.

If the Chiefs select Tate in this year’s draft, they could be getting the No. 1 receiver they’ve been looking for since trading away Tyreek Hill four years ago. At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Tate has a great blend of size and speed. This past season at Ohio State, he recorded 51 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Chiefs have needs at the receiver position from both a quantity and quality standpoint. They currently have just six on their roster – Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Royals, Jason Brownlee, and Jimmy Holiday. Kansas City usually carries at least six on its 53-man roster, and a handful on the practice squad.

Potential option at 9 for GM Brett Veach.

Tate is the consensus top receiver prospect in the draft, but Lemon is not far behind. Lemon also fits the bill for what Kansas City typically likes in a receiver – fast and shifty. The Chiefs already have speedy receivers in Worthy and Thornton, but they have provided inconsistent production. Adding Lemon to the mix could open up their passing attack.

It is a very real possibility that Lemon is available when the Chiefs hit the clock with the ninth overall pick. During his final season at USC, Lemon caught 79 passes for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns. If Tate and Lemon are both available when the Chiefs pick, they will face a very difficult decision.

NFL draft analyst Field Yates reported that Kansas City also has Proctor on the docket for a visit.

Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor had a lot of people buzzing here at pro day. His movements skills during the on-field drills were exceptional. And you could hear the sound of him hitting the bags from the opposite side of the field.

He’s got a busy slate of visits between now and the

While the Chiefs do have a need for a starting right tackle, many feel that it is far less pressing than other positions. If they were to draft Proctor, they may have to use the No. 9 pick to get him, but it’s possible he is still available when they hit the clock at 29th overall. He is considered one of the top offensive tackles in this year’s draft class.

Proctor is a physical specimen at 6-foot-7 and 352 pounds. During the NFL Scouting Combine, his athleticism score of 84 ranked eighth among all offensive tackles. Proctor is mauling run blocker who possesses strong hands and low center of gravity. Selecting Proctor could put the Chiefs in the running for having the best offensive line in the league.
