Report: Former Pro Bowl RB Najee Harris visits Seahawks

Former Pro Bowl running back Najee Harris made an official free agent visit with the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Harris, 28, rushed topped the 1,000-yard rushing mark in each of his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2021-24. He then signed a one-year, $5.25 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers last offseason, but was limited to just three games in 2025 after suffering a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 3 last September.

Harris was a Pro Bowler as a rookie in 2021, when he totaled 1,667 scrimmage yards for the Steelers. He rushed for a career-high 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns that season, while adding 74 catches for 467 yards and three TDs.

Harris also is the all-time leading rusher at the University of Alabama, where he was a two-time national champion and a consensus first-team All-American in 2020. He was selected by Pittsburgh with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Seahawks have some question marks at running back, as Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III departed in free agency and Zach Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL that could sideline him for a significant chunk of the 2026 season.

Earlier this month, the Seahawks signed former Green Bay Packers backup running back Emmanuel Wilson to a one-year deal. George Holani, who served as Walker’s backup for the rest of the postseason after Charbonnet got hurt in the NFC Divisional Round, also could be primed for a larger role in Seattle’s backfield.

Other running backs currently on the Seahawks’ roster are Kenny McIntosh, Velus Jones Jr., Cam Akers and Jacardia Wright.
