NFL Players have not shied away from making their feelings known about sensitive topics. Nowadays, politics seems to be as hot button of a topic as they come. However, one starting quarterback isn’t afraid of letting the public know exactly where he stands.
Here is what he said.

Starting NFL Quarterback Bashes Trump, Says He’s A Proud Democrat
New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough is a proud democrat and isn’t afraid to admit it. This was recently made clear when his comments surfaced regarding Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear:
He said he’d vote for Beshear if he ever runs for president of the United States.
“Mr. Beshear, I hope you become president one day, man. We will be voting for you,” Shough said, via Daily Mail. “I appreciate the opportunity, and maybe at that point I’ll be in your cabinet for sports advisor or something.”
Beshear has a history with Trump: he defeated both Trump-backed opponents when he won the governorship.
He was noncommittal earlier this year about the 2028 White House race. Tyler Shough’s support for Beshear comes after his wife, Jordan, blasted Donald Trump’s administration. It was over ICE’s crackdown in Minneapolis earlier this year.
Following the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents, Jordan took to Threads to share a fan’s comment. It said, ‘When the government kills people to scare you into acting differently, that’s called state-sponsored terrorism.’
Jordan further added a quote from George Orwell’s novel “1984”, writing: ‘The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.’
Just last month Shough was voted by the fans as the Pepsi Rookie Of The Year:
“I am truly humbled and honored to be chosen for this award,” said Shough. “Coming in as a rookie, my goal was to do anything I could to contribute to our team’s success. Whatever I was asked to do, I just wanted to help the team.
This wouldn’t be possible without all of my teammates and coaches giving everything they had each and every week to help us win. The award is truly a reflection of all of their hard work.
I also want to say thank you to our amazing fans. Your unbelievable passion for the Saints and the city of New Orleans inspires all of us! I can’t wait to see where we go from here!”
