The Atlanta Hawks star secured an important milestone on Wednesday's 130-129 clutch road victory over the Detroit Pistons.

By dropping 12 assists, he officially became the youngest small forward in NBA history to reach 500 assists or more in a single season since LeBron James.

The 24-year-old registered 27 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds to lead the Hawks over the Pistons.

Averaging staggering numbers of 22.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists, Johnson has carried the Hawks in this special season.

With the win over the Eastern Conference's best, Johnson and the Hawks have now won 14 of their last 15 games. They continue to enjoy momentum with a 41-32 record that puts them sixth in the East standings.
