Golden State Warriors Make Al Horford Announcement After Nets Game

On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors played the Brooklyn Nets at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors won by a score of 109-106.

Al Horford did not play in the game (and missed his seventh straight).

After their win over the Nets, head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Horford will remain out for Friday’s game (at home) against the Washington Wizards.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote: “Al Horford missed a seventh straight game tonight with a calf strain. Will remain out Friday against the Wizards, per Kerr.”

Horford is in his first season playing for Golden State.

He is currently averaging 8.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 42.4% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range in 43 games.

Horford was the third pick in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Florida.

He has also spent time with the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and OKC Thunder over 19 seasons as a pro.

The 2024 NBA Champion has career averages of 12.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.7% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range in 1,181 games.
