Chelsea sources are now sending a different message about Liam Rosenior potentially being sacked

Chelsea supporters are beginning to lose patience with the current situation of the club, including the status of manager Liam Rosenior.

A nightmare couple of weeks at Stamford Bridge has seen the Blues exit the Champions League, as well as fall out of the top five in the Premier League.

There is a scenario where Chelsea could finish sixth and qualify for the Champions League, however fans will not believe this is the target they should be going for as a result of their current squad and spending.

How many points will we pick up here?

And will it be enough to save Liam Rosenior’s job?

Liam Rosenior’s position is on the line at Chelsea if things do not improve

It had originally been reported that Rosenior was very safe in his role as Chelsea manager, even at the end of the season.

However, sources have told Flashscore that Rosenior’s position will be on the line if results do not turn around from their recent run.

It has been a well-known target for the club to qualify for the Champions League, and financially it is something that they cannot afford to be without.

Todd Boehly and co have built their project off the back of mass spending during the summer transfer window, although staying in line with UEFA’s guidelines is a necessity following their sanction last year.

Something that has become clear though is that more investment is needed. Chelsea need a new centre-back, even with the pending return of Levi Colwill.

Chelsea fans choose their Rosenior replacement

We asked Chelsea fans on TalkingPoints who they would choose to replace Rosenior, assuming the club continue with their approach of bringing in promising, young managers.

Blues supporters voted for Cesc Fabregas ahead of Filipe Luis, and you can have your say by signing up here.

The former Chelsea midfielder is enjoying a brilliant campaign in charge of Como, threatening to deliver Champions League football to the recently-promoted side.

Fabregas does not have much experience as a manager, but based on the hiring of Enzo Maresca and Rosenior, this does not seem to matter to the decision makers at Stamford Bridge.
