The Timberwolves mounted a surge - Mike Conley and Donte DiVincenzo hit from long range, and Kyle Anderson added a two-pointer. This cut the deficit to just 5 points in a minute (103-108).
The Rockets’ offense remained stalled, and after DiVincenzo’s three-pointer in the final minute, the teams were tied at 108-108. On the next possession, Alperen Sengun missed a shot, and with 9 seconds remaining, Julius Randle put the Timberwolves ahead (110-108).
Houston had a great chance to force a second overtime, but with 3.3 seconds left, Kevin Durant missed both free throws, and the Timberwolves celebrated the victory.
