Luka Doncic makes NBA history last seen since Michael Jordan

After having their nine-game win streak snapped by the Detroit Pistons on Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers looked to get back in the win column on Wednesday, finishing their six-game road trip with a stop in Indiana.

Los Angeles dispatched the Pacers, winning by a seven-point margin.

Despite eight Pacers finishing in double-figures, Luka Doncic was once again too much to overcome. The Slovenian star finished with 43 points, seven assists, six rebounds and one steal, going 15-for-30 from the field.

Austin Reaves also had a productive night, finishing with 25 points, eight assists and two steals.

LeBron James did the same, posting a near triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

During the win, Doncic etched his name in history once again, becoming the first player to average 40 or more points on the road over a six-game span since Michael Jordan in 1986.

With the win, Los Angeles improved to 47-26 on the season, sitting third in the Western Conference with nine games remaining.

That said, the Denver Nuggets are lurking in fourth place, one and a half games behind.

However, the Lakers hold the tie-breaker over Denver, having won the season series 2-1.

Additionally, Los Angeles appears to have the easier remaining schedule, ranked ninth easiest in the NBA.

As the regular season comes to a close, the Lakers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
