The Los Angeles Rams are putting all of their chips on the table for the upcoming 2026 NFL season. This could be the last chance that Los Angeles could win a Super Bowl with quarterback Matthew Stafford around. Not only will he be a free agent after the 2026 season, but wide receiver Davante Adams will be a free agent after the season as well. Adams is 34 years old and still at the top of his game.

This does not mean that Adams and Stafford will be with the Rams after the 2026 NFL season comes to an end. He has already been on several teams in his NFL career.
ESPN Believes Los Angeles Rams WR Davante Adams Expected To Be One of the Top Free Agents On the 2027 Market

Matt Bowen of ESPN believes that Adams will be one of the top wide receiver free agents on the market in 2027. Bowen said, “Still one of the league’s best at shaking press coverage, Adams led the league with 14 touchdown receptions last season (league-high 12 in the red zone). He will turn 34 years old in December, but his ability to make himself available to the quarterback from perimeter alignments brings value to any offensive system.” Adams caught 60 passes for 789 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns, along with averaging 13.1 yards per reception. He also was targeted 114 times.
Adams has been in the NFL since the 2014 season. When he becomes a free agent next year, is there a chance that he could return to the Green Bay Packers where it all began? That remains to be seen. Adams is getting older and he can still play. However, despite scoring 14 touchdowns last season, his production may start to drop when the 2026 NFL season rolls around.
