LeBron James reacts to Caitlin Clark’s photos
Caitlin Clark took on a different role during Wednesday night’s game between the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers, working as a credentialed photographer along the baseline at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Clark wore a photographer’s vest and captured images throughout the game. She later shared one of her shots on social media, posting a black-and-white image of LeBron James with the caption, “The KING👑 … Shot by ME,” while adding that she had more content coming.
The game itself featured a strong performance from Luka Doncic, who led the Lakers to a 137-130 win. Doncic played 37 minutes and scored 43 points, continuing his high-scoring stretch as Los Angeles pushes toward the postseason.
James later reposted Clark’s image to his Instagram story, signaling approval of her courtside photography and creating a notable crossover moment between two of basketball’s most recognizable stars.

Clark’s presence behind the camera was not new. During the 2025 WNBA season, she appeared in just 13 games due to a groin injury and a bone bruise. She missed the Indiana Fever’s Commissioner’s Cup championship game and the playoffs, where the team advanced to the semifinals.
During that stretch, Clark remained active around the team and explored roles off the court, including photography. Against the Lakers, she was again positioned courtside with professional photographers.
Clark recently returned to competition earlier this month. She made her senior national team debut for the United States at the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
She averaged 11.6 points and a team-best 6.4 assists across five games. Clark led Team USA in total scoring with 58 points and recorded 32 assists while posting a tournament-leading efficiency rating. Her performance earned her MVP honors.
As she prepares for her third WNBA season, Clark has continued to explore off-court interests, including photography and golf, while maintaining her on-court development.

James’s repost added visibility to Clark’s work and highlighted mutual recognition across leagues. The Lakers star remains a central figure in the NBA, while Clark continues to grow her presence in women’s basketball.
The night also included key developments for Indiana. Tyrese Haliburton returned to the bench as he continues recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is expected to miss the entire 2025-26 season.
Indiana has struggled this season, entering the game with the league’s lowest winning percentage before snapping a 16-game losing streak with a win over the Orlando Magic.
Despite the result, the game provided a unique off-court storyline. Clark’s role as a photographer and James’ acknowledgment of her work brought together two prominent figures from different levels of the sport in a single moment.
