The Los Angeles Lakers played their only game in Indianapolis on Wednesday night against the Pacers. They were able to withstand a fourth-quarter run to win yet another game. LA has now been victorious in 13 of its last 15 games.
Luka Doncic had 43 points against Indiana, as they had no answer for him. Doncic is playing near an MVP level and is trying to bring the Lakers to the Finals. Right now, Los Angeles sits third in the Western Conference standings. That wasn’t the only thing on display Wednesday night.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was also in attendance. She was actually a credentialed photographer for this game. Doncic was asked about her following the game, and gave a hilarious reaction.

Doncic seemed confused at first that she was being referenced as a photographer.
“Oh, I did see her. Not really much (of a relationship with her), but I’m a big fan for sure. I watch a lot of games. Definitely her hooping is great to watch. For sure, gotta go to a game to see her.”
Doncic likely wouldn’t attend a game to see Clark anywhere but LA, but he still appreciates good basketball. Clark is one of the biggest stars in the WNBA. She is certainly a transcendent player in similar ways to Doncic, although she was hurt for most of last year.
Clark took some pretty good photos during that game against the Pacers. She had some really nice shots of LeBron James that she took and promoted on social media.

If Clark’s play this year is anything like the pictures she took in this game, she should be ready to have a great year. She was hurt most of last season for the Fever, so she never got to really get it going. Doncic would love to see Clark playing at her best in the summer.
Luka Doncic is Trying to Make his Second NBA Finals
LA is starting to play like one of the best teams in the league. Doncic has only made the NBA Finals one time, and he’s trying to make it again this season. He wants to win a title with James on the roster, since this might be the final time that he is on the roster.
The Lakers have one of the best offenses in the league since the All-Star break. They have the fourth-best offense in the NBA since that time period. Defensively, they have been much stronger since the break, as well. Still, this is an offensively-driven team.
Los Angeles believes they have as good of a shot as anyone to win the West, even though the Thunder and the Spurs are ahead of them in the standings. They believe they have figured out the best way to play with Doncic, James, and Austin Reaves on the court at the same time.
Doncic is focused on scoring points instead of who is taking pictures. That seems to be the correct way to do things.
