By his lofty standards, Chelsea star Cole Palmer has had a pretty poor season, with injuries partly to blame.
In the Blues’ 3-0 loss to Everton just before the international break, Palmer had a miserable outing.
Nevertheless, the attacking midfielder is still the best footballer at Stamford Bridge. That cannot be disputed after his first two seasons in west London.
How many points will we pick up here?
And will it be enough to save Liam Rosenior’s job?
Cole Palmer claims he’s the best EA Sports FC player at Chelsea
Palmer is also the best EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) player at Chelsea. That is according to the man himself.
When asked what he does straight after training, he told Chelsea’s official club website: “I play on my PlayStation, usually FIFA. I’m the best in the squad!”
After his struggles this season, Palmer is unlikely to see his player rating upgraded on the next edition of EA Sports FC.
In 25 appearances, the 23-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided three assists. It is actually not a bad return, but compared to what he was able to achieve in the 2024/25 and 2023/24 campaigns, there has clearly been a dip in form.
Liam Rosenior will be desperate for Palmer to return to his best again after the international break. In the Premier League, Chelsea face Manchester City before taking on Manchester United.
They also have to play Liverpool and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur before the season concludes. First up, though, is an FA Cup quarter-final clash against Port Vale.
With such tough games coming up, Rosenior really does need to address Palmer’s form.

Cole Palmer’s EA Sports FC 26 stats
Palmer’s current player rating on EA Sports FC is 87. Unsurprisingly, his attacking numbers are excellent.
As per EA’s official website, the Englishman’s shooting is 83, passing 87 and dribbling 87. His highest stat is penalties, which is rated at 90.
Those are pretty fair numbers. If anything, Palmer’s shooting should probably be higher. Now would be the perfect time for the England international to show everyone that it should be above 83 and perhaps closer to 90 like his penalty taking.
