The Las Vegas Raiders need more help at running back, and preferably veteran help to play behind Ashton Jeanty.
Las Vegas has been very quiet at running back this offseason, as the team has yet to add a single player at the position in free agency. As things stand now, the Raiders have just Dylan Laube and Chris Collier on the depth chart behind Jeanty.
The Raiders are clearly looking to change that, though, with the team rumored to have interest in former Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers running back, Najee Harris.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Raiders are scheduled to host Harris for a free-agent visit after he previously met with the Seattle Seahawks.
"Former Chargers and Steelers RB Najee Harris visited the Seahawks today, per the wire, and the plan is to visit the Raiders next, source said," Rapoport reported on Wednesday.
A four-time 1,000-yard rusher with the Steelers, Harris spent last season with the Chargers but saw his season end early due to a torn Achilles in September.
Harris' recovery seems to be coming along smoothly after he has posted videos to social media of him running full speed. That suggests he should be ready for the beginning of the 2026 season, although that hasn't been confirmed yet.
Harris would be a perfect fit in Las Vegas.
Not only would he provide a veteran mentor for Jeanty, he can also take pressure off the second-year back with his power running and pass-catching abilities.
That said, the Seahawks might be a more attractive destination for him given the fact Seattle has a better opportunity for him to land a starting job.
