Jayson Tatum is no stranger to the spotlight as a forward for the Boston Celtics, but he draws the line at sharing any information about his personal life.
The 28-year-old is dating Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ella Mai, 31, with the pair first linked in 2019 after she was spotted sitting courtside at one of Jayson's basketball games.
However, despite having a child together in 2024, neither has ever publicly spoken about their relationship, and they do not feature on each other's social media.
Ella has shared an insight into motherhood, however, and revealed in January that their son, Dylan, is following in her musical footsteps.

"I try not to overdo it because I don't want him to grow up and be like, 'She just pushed her music down my throat,'" she told E! News of playing her music for Dylan. "But I do try and play a lot of music around him."

Jayson keeps his relationship out of the spotlight
She added: "He was watching the movie Sing today, which is his new obsession, so I love that he loves that because I'm like, 'Oh, you're a musical baby.'"
Motherhood
Like their relationship, neither Ella nor Jayson publicly announced her pregnancy. "I think it's been a weird topic because obviously I never announced it myself," she said when asked about motherhood on Capital XTRA in December.

Ella gave birth to her and Jayson's only child in 2024
"So, people don't know whether or not to say it. But I'm not going to act like I don't have a child. I have a child," she added.
Sharing a rare insight into life as a mom, Ella explained: "But motherhood honestly is incredible for me. I never really envisioned myself as a mom before. I didn't think I was super maternal. But now I can't even imagine my life without my son. Like, it's been incredible."

Jayson added the name 'Dylan' to his shoe after his second son's birth
Jayson, who is also dad to son Jayson 'Deuce' Christopher Tatum Jr., eight, with ex Toriah Lachell, revealed his and Ella's son's name in October 2024.
The NBA star always writes 'Deuce' on the shoes he wears during a game, and after his second son's birth, he added the name 'Dylan' beside it, which didn't go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans.

She became a household name in 2018 after releasing her debut single, "Boo'd Up," which was nominated for Song of the Year and won Best R&B song at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
It also earned her the title of Artist on the Rise after it garnered over 200 million views and held the number one spot on YouTube's U.S. Top Song and Music Video charts.

Ella released her third studio album in 2026
"Boo'd Up," which also went Double Platinum, landed at number one on three of Billboard's R&B charts and reached number five on the Hot 100.
Ella has been steadily releasing music ever since and dropped her third album, Do You Still Love Me? On February 6, 2026, through 10 Summers and Interscope Records.
