The path to the Chelsea first team is becoming clearer for Dastan Satpaev, but the real test awaits this summer when he joins the senior squad to prove he belongs at the elite level.
Dastan Satpaev has enjoyed a breakout year, solidifying his reputation as one of the most clinical young strikers in world football. Playing for Kairat Almaty, the 17-year-old forward has already netted 19 goals across all competitions, including crucial strikes in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
His ability to perform on the big stage was further proven when he became Kazakhstan’s youngest-ever goalscorer, notably scoring a clinical opener against Belgium in World Cup qualification.
Despite his age, Satpaev has shown immense maturity, often leading the line with the composure of a veteran, which is something that could help Chelsea amid their own struggles.
How many points will we pick up here?
And will it be enough to save Liam Rosenior’s job?
Liam Rosenior is excited about Dastan Satpaev’s arrival
The Kazakhstan boss, Talgat Baysufinov, has been speaking to the media and claims that Liam Rosenior already has plans in place for Dastan Satpaev to be a part of the Chelsea first team this summer.
“Yes, Armenia is on our schedule, and discussions regarding a match with Hungary are ongoing. What is the reason for this? It is because Chelsea is preparing Satpaev for August.
“In August, there will be a training camp with the Chelsea first team. At the moment, Chelsea’s head coach, Liam Rosenior, is very pleased with Dastan and is excited about his upcoming arrival.
“However, in August, he will need to prove his worth alongside the first-team players. That is when he will be called up to the main squad
*“In other words, they need to have Dastan 100% ready by that time.*“
This comes after Reece James’ family have already been helping Satpaev ahead of his arrival.

Talgat Baysufinov has high hopes for Dastan Satpaev
Baysufinov is hoping that a successful start at Chelsea will boost the hopes of his national side, as he craves success for the youngster.
“Their goal is to use the June FIFA dates to build up to August and the first-team camp—that is their plan for advancing Dastan Satpaev to a higher level.
“When the Chelsea representatives showed us all of this and explained their developmental plan, we immediately looked toward September—the start of the Nations League.
*“Our primary goal is the Nations League. God willing, Dastan Satpaev will break into the Chelsea first team. Just imagine the emotional boost that would provide for the player himself, for us in the national team, for the fans, and for the entire country! This peak is exactly what Chelsea is guiding him toward!*“
