NFL analyst, Charles Davis has Ty Simpson listed as the No. 3 overall pick in his latest mock draft on NFL.com.
Davis has the Arizona Cardinals selecting Simpson with their third overall pick in April’s draft.
“Last year, I opined in one of my early mocks that Jaxson Dart would go to the Giants with the third overall pick, but I didn’t stick with the pairing as the process unfolded,” Davis wrote. “Dart, of course, ultimately ended up with New York after Big Blue traded back into the first round and selected the quarterback at No. 25. This year, I think Simpson ends up with the Cardinals, even if this is not the spot where they pick him.”
Simpson wrapped up an impressive Pro Day Wednesday by completing some impressive passes. He used his pro-day workout to challenge himself.
“Why not? Like, go have fun, go sling it,” Simpson said. “You watch the tape of Pro Day, there wasn’t any easy throws. I didn’t want to make it easy. Being able to throw to Josh [Cuevas] and Germ [Germie Bernard] and those guys who I care about and who were great teammates to me is just something that I wanted to do. So I wanted to make it fun, throw to them one more time and end it with a bang.”
