BROOK PARK, Ohio (WOIO) - The [Cleveland Browns announced](https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/the-haslam-family-increases-personal-investment-in-new-huntington-bank-field-project) the Haslam family has increased their personal contribution to $1.755 billion for the Brook Park stadium project on Thursday.
This is $555 million more than the $1.2 billion Dee and Jimmy Haslam were originally investing in the project.
“We are committed to Northeast Ohio and believe with this increased investment, we will create not only a transformative world-class stadium and development but an opportunity to positively impact further growth in our region,” Dee and Jimmy Haslam said in a statement on clevelandbrowns.com. “We believe that Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio deserve this state of the art, first-of-its kind venue and we will continue to work on our commitment to build a stadium and football team that our fans and community will be proud of.”
Here is a breakdown of where the now $2.6 billion is sourced from:
* $1.755 billion (67.5%) from Haslam family investment
* $845 million (32.5%) from public investment covered with return from project generated tax revenue
The project cost a billion dollars more when you include the additional attached mixed-use development.

* $2.755 billion (76.5%) from private investment
* $845 million (23.5 %) in public investment
