“They’re 100% Not Trading”: NFL Insider Reveals If the Cleveland Browns Will Trade Myles…

The Cleveland Browns decided not to trade Myles Garrett in the offseason last year when he decided to request a trade. Instead, Cleveland gave him a massive contract extension. This no doubt paid off for the Browns. Garrett was the defensive player of the year in 2025, and he also broke the Michael Strahan sack record as well.

During the 2025 season, Garrett recorded 60 tackles, 23 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one pass deflection. He is 30 years old and no doubt a future hall of famer. Is there any chance that he could be on the move at this point this offseason despite finishing with a 5-12 record last season?

Adam Schefter of ESPN was on the Pat McAfee Show talking about Garrett and the Browns. Schefter said, “I called the Browns and they said they’re 100% not trading Myles Garrett.” This should not be a surprise to anyone. The NFL Draft is also four weeks away. They shouldn’t be trading the best defensive player in the league. Even with the losing they are doing; Garrett does not want to leave this city.

He has a chance to have another big year for Cleveland in 2026 here. Garrett is no doubt not in the news for trade rumors this offseason and he probably should not be at all also.
