The Golden State Warriors continue to take a cautious, tightly controlled approach with Stephen Curry — and the latest update offered more uncertainty than clarity.
Speaking after Thursday’s practice, head coach Steve Kerr indicated that Curry remains under the supervision of the team’s medical staff, led by Rick Celebrini.
“Well, he’s spending a lot of time with Rick,” Kerr said. “So I’m on the court and discussing the training with Rick, so I can’t tell you much more than that.”
Warriors Continue Tight-Lipped Approach
Kerr’s comments provided little detail on Curry’s recovery timeline, reinforcing Golden State’s deliberate handling of its franchise star as the regular season winds down.
The lack of specifics follows a similar tone from Kerr after Wednesday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets, when he kept expectations grounded.
“Steph will play when he’s healthy,” Kerr told reporters. “It’s as simple as that.”
Kerr has previously indicated that the team’s medical staff, led by Celebrini, holds the final authority on Curry’s status, with every decision based on how he responds to increased activity.
Taken together, the updates suggest that Curry’s return remains fluid, with no firm timetable publicly established.
No Scrimmage Yet as Recovery Continues
