Robert Griffin III wants to get back on the football field.
The one-time Washington phenom, who had NFL stints with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens after injuries sent his career sideways, has been working in media in recent years.
Now, he sees an opportunity, but not in the NFL.
RG3 is eying the flag football scene as a chance.
He posted this on social media on Thursday:
God’s plan 🙏🏾
The work is just getting started.
Excited to work with my new teammates 🫡 USA! USA! USA! pic.twitter.com/X9BHwTwLGW

It's not actually clear from this to what extent Griffin is currently involved in the flag football national team.
The current flag football Team USA just played showcase games against teams composed of former and current NFL players, and RG3 wasn't a part of that event in any way.
Flag football is in the spotlight because it's going to be contested at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The idea of Griffin actually making the team is pretty unlikely, though. It's a 5-on-5 sport, and rosters for the Olympics will be approximately 10 players.
How low on the list of desired players would RG3 be at age 36? Doesn't seem like he'd be at the top, that's for sure.
