Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are searching for answers as the 2025-26 NBA regular season races to the finish line.
The team began the season trending in the right direction by knocking off the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night and then darting out to a 4-1 start.
Ever since, Golden State has been an average team at best.
With all the injuries on hand, it is easy to forget that this team was consistently around .500 even when at full strength. But Warriors fans want to put that behind them and hope their team can pull a rabbit out its hat in April.
For anything positive to manifest, superstar point guardStephen Curry must return healthy to the lineup; otherwise, everything else is pure fantasy.
Curry has been out for roughly two months, but signs point to the future Hall of Famer getting close to being cleared to suit up again.
Golden State Warriors Announce Curry’s Status for Tomorrow’s Game
This was supposed to be the week Curry made his triumphant return.
The 38-year-old Golden State star was expected to engage in a live scrimmage with the team last Sunday ahead of its matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Curry was unable to give it a go because of a setback and still has yet to scrimmage.
With there still being no word on the former MVP practicing at full speed, it would have been a stunner if he was off the injury report for tomorrow night’s home game against the struggling Washington Wizards.
Today, the Warriors announcedCurry will miss Friday’s contest, marking his 24th consecutive game out of the lineup.
The news is incredibly tough for fans, but expected nonetheless. Curry has not made significant enough progress for there to be any news about his return to the court.
However, on the bright side, the Warriors will reportedly announce a freshupdate on Curry tomorrow, so there is that to look out for before the team tries going for its 36th victory of the year.
Dubs Trying to Hold on as Curry Recovers
It has been a downright rough year for the team that won four titles in an eight-year span not long ago.
This past Monday made all feelings worse when the world watched rising star guardMoses Moody go down and out with a ruptured patellar tendon. That’s another player added to the long-term injury list. Ouch.
Despite all the adversity, things are far from over.
Golden State is holding onto the 10th seed in the Western Conference, which is the final play-in spot. The franchise is a comfortable 10 games ahead of the tanking New Orleans Pelicans, who already have their offseason vacation plans booked.
What’s painful and funny at the same time is that the Warriors don’t need to win anymore games this season. Literally. They are already locked into the play-in tournament.
Curry’s return has come close now. There was some initial expectation that the four-time champion would be back by the end of March. That could still happen. But there is a chance Golden State takes it easy and allows Curry until the first week of April to fully heal up.
The Dubs aim for their second win in a row tomorrow night. It’ll take another knock-down, drag-out effort to make that happen. Even against the Wizards.
