There is a worrying update regarding Terrion Arnold.
Earlier this year, in February, Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was linked to an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping incident that took place in Tampa, Florida.
Arnold was never arrested or charged by the authorities despite ongoing police investigations.
But now, a series of worrying texts involving the alleged armed robbery and kidnapping on Feb. 4 that include Arnold’s name have been made public.
The texts, which are officially in the possession of the Florida State Attorney’s office, include Arnold’s name at least nine times. However, his attorney Tim Jansen has downplayed Arnold being referenced multiple times in the texts.
“His expectations are he’s not going to be charged,” Jansen told The Detroit Free Press. “He hasn’t been charged and I haven’t seen these text message[s] but they obviously have them and they haven’t charged [him]. The fact that he knows some of these people is hardly evidence he committed a crime and we believe he’s not going to be charged.”
The Lawyer For Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold Released A New Statement
In a separate statement to Detroit Lions beat writer Dave Birkett, Jansen explained:
We have not yet been provided with the text messages in question, and it would be inappropriate to comment on isolated excerpts without first reviewing them in their full context,” he said. “We are aware that law enforcement has conducted an extensive investigation, as reflected in the 49-page criminal information. Notably, our client has not been charged, and based on the evidence currently known, we do not anticipate that any charges will be brought against him.
Any suggestion of involvement appears to rest solely on the fact that our client is acquainted with certain individuals connected to this matter. Mere association does not constitute participation in criminal activity. Importantly, there is no evidence, nor any witness testimony, indicating that our client has had any involvement.”
Arnold, whom the Lions selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama, has amassed 91 tackles with 18 pass deflections so far in his career in Detroit.
However, a shoulder injury forced him to be placed on Injured Reserve after eight games in 2025; he finished the season with 31 tackles.
The Alleged Incident Took Place In February
The case stems from when Boakai Hilton, Arianna Del Valle, Jasmine Randazzo, Christion Williams, Lyndell Hudson, and Freddie Hughes were arrested after they allegedly not only kidnapped but also assaulted three men, reportedly in retaliation for a pair of separate robberies of the Airbnb Arnold had been renting.
Hilton is believed to be an associate of Arnold’s.
Among the items that were stolen were jewelry, a cellphone, $100,000, designer bags, and guns.
In the texts, Del Valle told Randazzo to lure one of the victims to the apartment, followed by a message saying, “rn thts it,” followed by “thts wht terrion said.”
In a group chat, Hilton allegedly said, “SAY WHY WAS TERRION PHONE IN MIAMU.”
All four suspects are facing a series of serious charges, including robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy to kidnap, and conspiracy to commit a robbery.
