Mikel Arteta won’t be pleased that his side lost to Man City in the Carabao Cup final, but he will be pleased that they remain on for the treble this season. The Gunners are nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and are in the FA Cup and Champions League quarter-finals.

However, regardless of trophy success this season, they have an issue at the left-wing position. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are both out of contract at the end of next season, and so will need replacing if they don’t sign extensions.

Neither are in talks over a new contract at the Emirates, so Arsenal may have to sell the duo this summer to ensure they get a return.

Arsenal target stunning Kvaratskhelia move

PSG winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the world’s best left-wingers, and fresh reports indicate that Arsenal could try to solve their issue at the position by signing the PSG star.

According to the Independent, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the Georgian winger, who is reportedly open to leaving PSG in favour of a move to the Emirates. Buy an Arsenal baseball cap from the official store here.

The report suggests that he could cost around £70m, which for a player of Kvaratskhelia’s quality, is fairly reasonable. He would be an excellent replacement for Martinelli and Trossard, and many would argue a significant upgrade.

It is understood that PSG don’t want to sell the 25-year-old, so it could be a tough deal for Arsenal to complete. This season, the Georgian winger has made 37 appearances for Luis Enrique’s side, scoring 12 goals, and providing seven assists. He was a major part of their Champions League-winning success last year, and could still help the French giants win the competition for a second year in a row.
