This season with the Noblesville Boom, he averaged 21.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. After his G League stint, he moved to China and now plays for the Shanxi Loongs.
Guy has had a true journeyman career, experiencing basketball in many forms. The 28-year-old was a McDonald's All-American, won a national title at Virginia, played 53 NBA games, competed in the G League, and had stints in Europe with Joventut, Panathinaikos, and Tenerife.
During the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, he played eight games for Panathinaikos Athens, averaging 4 points in over 10 minutes per game.
That experience gave him a perspective on global talent.
"Talent-wise, I think [the G League] is the second-best league in the world, and I've played in the EuroLeague… and the EuroLeague is amazing," Guy said on the G League's new documentary, NBA G League Chronicles.
His comment didn't sit well with some in the European basketball community.
Reactions on social media included:
Dennis Schroder, 13-year NBA veteran guard: "Love!! But that's cap Kyle"
Matthew Morgan, Virtus Bologna scoring guard: "Big cap…"
Danilo Andjusic, former EuroLeague veteran: four laughing emojis
Oshae Brissett, Maccabi Tel Aviv forward and NBA champion: "Cap…"

With negative comments coming his way, Guy wrote: "lol I said talent-wise."
