Leeds United have sent another of their young stars out on loan for senior exposure.
Leeds United have confirmed the loan exit of youth star Kenneth Mensah to Scarborough Athletic.
The 17-year-old has been sent on a work experience loan until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, having featured for Leeds at Under-18 and Under-21 level this season. The forward has scored five times and is an Italian youth international
Scarborough currently occupy the final National League North play-off place with six games remaining to stay there. The Yorkshire side are currently managed by former Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonathan Greening.
A statement from the club read: “Leeds United can confirm Academy attacker Kenneth Mensah has joined Scarborough Athletic on a work experience loan until the end of the season. The Italian youth international has scored five times in 18 appearances for the Whites’ Under-18s this campaign, as well as featuring on four occasions for the Under-21s.

“Mensah heads to the Flamingo Land Stadium with Scarborough currently occupying the final Play-Off position in the National League North. Everyone at Leeds United would like to wish Kenneth well during his time away from the club and we will be monitoring his progress closely.”
New boss Greening told the Scarborough News: “We are pleased to have him on board to help us with the final part of the season and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do, we hope he enjoys his time with us!"
Leeds only recently sent another academy prospect out on a youth loan, with goalkeeper Darryl Ombang joining FC United of Manchester earlier this month. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has also been a regular feature for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s but faces good competition from Rory Mahady and Robbie Cook.
