Bruno Fernandes has been nominated with two Manchester United academy graduates for the Premier League’s Player of the Month in March.

It’s hardly a surprise that with Manchester United’s improved form under Michael Carrick, several key players are performing at a high level consistently.

United fans need to look no further than Bruno Fernandes. Throughout March, the Portugal international scored two goals and registered three assists, providing three man-of-the-match displays in four outings.

That means it comes as little surprise that Fernandes is in contention for a Premier League award.

Fernandes has made a habit of winning annual and monthly awards during his time at Old Trafford, winning Player of the Year four times.

The midfielder has been in outstanding form since Carrick moved him into the No.10 role, after Ruben Amorim previously deployed him deeper in midfield rather than playing Kobbie Mainoo.

Fernandes, 31, averaged a goal involvement every 60 minutes in the Premier League in March, which surely names him a top contender after earning a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month.
