The Baltimore Ravens are being linked to a potential move to strengthen their receiving corps ahead of the 2026 season. One name gaining traction is Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks.
Baltimore’s passing attack has remained effective but lacks consistent depth behind its top options. Addressing that gap has become a priority as the team looks to maximize its offensive potential.

Wicks has emerged as an intriguing target due to his combination of size, route-running ability and playmaking upside. While not the focal point of Green Bay’s offense, he has shown flashes of production that suggest a larger role could unlock more consistent results.
For the franchise, dealing Wicks would present a difficult decision given their emphasis on developing young talent. However, their depth at the position could make a trade scenario more plausible if the right return is offered.

The Ravens are being urged to trade for Wicks for the upcoming NFL season. This is detailed more in an analysis by Moe Moton for Bleacher Report.
As a rookie fifth-rounder out of Virginia, Dontayvion Wicks carved out a role in the Packers’ aerial attack, hauling in 39 passes for 581 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. But the rise of wideout Jayden Reed, along with the addition of first-rounder Matthew Golden, buried him on the depth chart. Also, tight end Tucker Kraft took on an expanded role in the passing game before he tore his ACL.
Wicks has shown he can exceed the expectations of a Day 3 draft pick with limited opportunities in the passing game. However, unless the Packers trade one of the other receivers, he won’t reach his full potential with them.
From Baltimore’s perspective, adding a receiver like Wicks could provide a reliable complement within an evolving offense. His ability to stretch the field and contribute in key situations would address a clear need for additional weapons.
As the NFL draft approaches, speculation surrounding potential moves continues to build. Whether the Ravens pursue a deal or explore other options, their focus on improving the receiving unit remains a central storyline.
