NBA MVP Ladder: SGA loses top spot, Doncic drops despite incredible stretch

Victor Wembanyama has climbed to No. 1 in the latest NBA MVP Ladder update, while Luka Doncic has slipped two spots to No. 4.

For the first time in a while, there’s a new name at the top of the NBA.com MVP Ladder.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has taken over the No. 1 spot, overtaking Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Wembanyama surged ahead after an incredible three-game stretch, averaging 21.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and a staggering 5.7 blocks in just 26.5 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers slipped two spots to No. 4 despite an outstanding run - putting up 39.5 points per game over his last 11 outings while leading his team to 10 wins during that span.

Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets climbed back to No. 3, while the top five is rounded out by Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics.
