Chelsea Green looks like she’s recovering nicely.
Green was doing media in Pittsburgh ahead of this week’s WWE SmackDown taping. Green visited the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice facility and got a chance to kick some field goals. The Steelers posted a video of Green, who has been sidelined with a broken ankle, putting the football through the uprights.
Green replied to the post, reflecting on some of the incredible opportunities her WWE career has given her.
“There are times in life where I’m like ‘How did I get here? What did I do to deserve this life?’” Green wrote on Twitter/X. “Today was one of those times. ????”
Chelsea Green broke her ankle in early February. Despite the injury keeping her out of the ring, Green has remained on WWE programming in a non-wrestling role. Green has said she was adamant that she remained on WWE TV despite the injury, and has maintained a regular role on WWE SmackDown.
In late February, Green told WrestleZone that she was healing, but wasn’t ready for an in-ring return just yet. She was able to walk without a boot at the WWE 2K26 Creator Fest and shared her hope for a “somewhat painless” recovery.
A new update from Wrestlevotes Radio (via Fightful Select) has revealed that Chelsea Green is progressing well from the injury. WWE is optimistic she might get cleared sooner rather than later. However, it is still unclear if she will get cleared ahead of WrestleMania 42.
