Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko withdrew from the Slovenia squad with injury.
At the start of the week, Manchester United announced Benjamin Sesko would not be joining up with the Slovenia squad.
The club stated Sesko dropped out ‘in order to ensure that he fully recovers from an issue that United have been carefully managing throughout recent weeks’.
He was due to play for Slovenia in friendly matches against Hungary and Montenegro.

Slovenia coach on Sesko
Slovenia’s international coach Bostjan Cesar said that he would not consider the notion that Benjamin Sesko being rested is the best outcome for all parties.
He said the same rules must apply to all players, even the nation’s most high-profile footballer.
Cesar told national outlet Ekipa: “We have to respect ourselves. We are a small country, but this is the national team.

“As for me, who is responsible, there will be no deviation here. Whether Manchester United or Celje – we know what the UEFA rules for the national team are. There will be no deviation.”
Cesar did clarify that in this case, Manchester United and Benjamin Sesko did nothing wrong, he just does not want this to become a pattern.
He explained: “Our medical service immediately assessed that it would not be good for him to play.
“It is better for Benjamin not to train for these 14 days.”

Sesko expected to be available for United’s next fixture
Manchester United have a long break until the next game, taking on Leeds in the Premier League on April 13.
Benjamin Sesko is expected to be available and will likely be involved in United’s mid-season training camp in Ireland.
His ‘injury’ is just a case of managing and resting an existing knock.
