BlueCo Back Liam Rosenior as Chelsea Boss Regardless of League Outcome: Reports

According to reports, Chelsea will not consider changing head coach Liam Rosenior even if the team does not make it to the Champions League next season. The message coming out of Stamford Bridge is that BlueCo are still committed to the 41-year-old as part of a long-term project, even though fans and experts are putting a lot of pressure on them.

Rosenior only became Chelsea’s manager in January after Enzo Maresca left. Because of this, the club don’t think that the rest of this season should be judged based on his time as manager. The Blues are currently sixth in the Premier League with 48 points from 31 games, one point behind Liverpool in fifth. So far, Rosenior has been in charge of 19 games, winning 10, drawing two, and losing seven.

Chelsea’s average points per game under Rosenior are 1.7, which is slightly better than Maresca’s 1.6 earlier in the season. This seems to be one of the statistical reasons why the club are being patient, with sources claiming that Chelsea do not plan to do a formal performance review of Rosenior until the summer of 2027.

Rosenior is under more pressure because his team have lost four games in a row and conceded 12 goals. However, he needs over 65 games to fully put his ideas into action. The only thing that could change the hierarchy’s mind is if the team suddenly lose a lot of games in the last few weeks of the season, which the club do not expect to happen.

Rosenior Reveals “Very Exciting” Summer Transfer Conversations With Chelsea Hierarchy

There is still a lot of talk about Rosenior’s future, but he seems focused on the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues have already signed two players for the summer: Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon and Emmanuel Emegha from Strasbourg. They will join the team at the end of the season.

“We’re having really detailed conversations now about the areas that we want to strengthen. I’ve had great conversations about what I think we need. We’re very aligned, actually, in terms of where we want to strengthen and how we go about that, which is very exciting.” – Liam Rosenior

The club want to add players to important positions, like centre-back, midfield, attack, and maybe even a new goalkeeper. Mike Penders is expected to come back from his loan spell at Strasbourg and fight for the number one spot. Chelsea still have a lot to play for this season, including an FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale coming up, which could lead to a trophy.
