##### 1\. Experienced Backup with Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins

Wilson joins the Saints after spending the previous two seasons as a backup for the Denver Broncos in 2024 and the Miami Dolphins in 2025. Wilson never saw the field with the Broncos, but appeared in four games for the Dolphins completing six of his 11 passing attempts for 32 yards.

After being drafted second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson would spend the first three seasons of his NFL career with the New York Jets. He started in 33 games, completing 566 of his 993 passes for 6,293 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also added 93 rushing attempts for 498 yards on the ground and five touchdowns. He served as a team captain in both 2021 and 2022 and lead the Jets on five game-winning drives during his time with the team.

Wilson earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week Honors in Week 14 in the 2023 season. Wilson quarterbacked the Jets to a 30-6 win over the Houston Texans, completing 27 of his 36 passing attempts for 301 yards and two touchdowns. There were a lot of 'oh crap' moments where he stayed within the moment, and he made things work. He made a lot of things happen on his own."
