Manchester United are planning to enjoy quite the summer and have now held talks to bring an ex-Manchester City attacker back to the Premier League.
Man Utd hold talks to sign ex-Man City star
A lot can change in the Premier League. It wasn't so long ago that Man United were living a life of misery under Ruben Amorim and destined to miss out on a Champions League place.
Now, they're flying under Michael Carrick and on course to finish as high as third. To say that the interim boss has done an excellent job would be a major understatement.

Cunha's dream signing: Man Utd open talks to sign Barcelona superstar
Man Utd could help elevate Matheus Cunha's game by making a key summer signing.
Whether INEOS decide to reward him with the permanent position remains to be seen, however. Ahead of the summer, names like Roberto De Zerbi have been mentioned as potential options and the Italian has been a free agent ever since leaving Marseille back in February.
Meanwhile, whoever does arrive looks set to be backed by INEOS in the transfer window. The Red Devils have already set their sights on an ambitious move to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, making him their top target.
It seems like the Newcastle star could be at the centre of Man United's rebuild, but that's not the only move that they've got their sights on this summer.
INEOS are in the mood to spend and have also turned their attention towards Spain. According to TeamTalk, Man United have held talks to sign Ferran Torres after his agent contacted them about a potential move.
The former Man City forward has struggled for starts at the Nou Camp and is considering his future as a result.
16-goal Torres could end Amad's Man Utd career
After signing Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the summer, Man United could add the finishing touches to their attacking rebuild by welcoming the versatile Torres.

The Barcelona man can lead the line or play out wide and has done so to great effect in Spain this season - scoring 16 goals in all competitions. On paper, he would be an excellent signing and an upgrade on Amad Diallo, who is already struggling for game time as it is.
25/26 League Stats Torres Amad
Starts 19 22
Goals 12 2
Assists 1 2
Successful Dribbles P90 0.29 1.69
Chances Created P90 0.98 1.78
Although Amad's chance creation and dribbling numbers are impressive, they have not resulted in end product. Torres, meanwhile, has been clinical and that's what Man United need if they are to enter the title picture in the coming years.
Dubbed "incredible" by Pep Guardiola during his time at Man City, the 26-year-old could now get the chance to get one over on his former club by starring at Old Trafford next season.
