What Mike Vrabel's Appearance At ASU's Pro Day Could Mean For Draft Plans

With less than a month until the NFL draft, teams have limited opportunities to evaluate players they are interested in drafting. Many teams are eager to attend pro days to get a final look at these prospects, and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was in attendance on Friday.

Jeff Howe from The Athletic spotted Vrabel at Arizona State's pro day. He noted that Vrabel was the only NFL head coach he saw there, although that could have changed.

Vrabel's presence at Arizona State's pro day is significant, as two Sun Devils projected to go in the first round could find their way to New England.

Arizona State's standout wide receiver, Jordyn Tyson, could see his draft stock fluctuate dramatically, potentially ranging from the top 10 to the latter end of the first round. This uncertainty stems from a history of injuries during his college career, including multiple ligament tears in his knee in 2022, a broken collarbone and a lingering hamstring strain.

New England may consider taking a receiver in the first round, and if Tyson is still available at No. 31 or falling, the Patriots might look to trade up and draft him.

Another player to watch is Max Iheanachor, an offensive tackle Vrabel might consider. The Patriots could be on the lookout for their future right tackle, and Iheanachor could be available at No. 31, making him a solid fit for New England.
