Injury report: Jarrett Allen, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and more ahead of Heat vs. Cavaliers

The Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers enter a pivotal matchup Friday, as both teams look to cement their spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

This will be the second second consecutive game between the two sides, as Miami prevailed against the Cavaliers Wednesday.

The Heat are currently in a three-way tie for the eighth seed, looking to host a Play-In Tournament game as opposed to playing an elimination game on the road.

As for Cleveland, their situation is much simpler.

With nine games remaining, the Cavaliers seem to be locked in to fourth place, leading the Atlanta Hawks by four games for fifth.

That said, the Knicks aren't impossible to catch for the third seed, as the Cavaliers trail New York by two and a half games.

Entering Friday's game, both teams could be without some of their main contributors.

For Miami, they've listed Sixth Man of the Year candidate Jaime Jaquez Jr. as questionable on the injury report with a right ankle sprain.

If Jaquez Jr. is unable to go, Pelle Larsson and Simone Fontecchio could see increased opportunities off the bench.

For Cleveland, they'll be without Craig Porter Jr., Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade.

Jarrett Allen is listed as questionable due to a knee injury.

If Allen were unable to suit up, Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson will likely lean on Larry Nance Jr. or Thomas Bryant to back up Evan Mobley in the frontcourt.

Following Friday's game, the Heat will play the Pacers Sunday while the Cavaliers will suit up Monday against the Jazz.
