Jarrett Allen Injury: Kenny Atkinson drops major playing plan for returning Cavs star

Allen (knee) will appear for around 20 minutes in his Cavs return vs. the Heat.

Jarrett Allen is poised to make his much-awaited comeback for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Speaking in front of reporters ahead of the Cavs' Friday clash against the Miami Heat, Kenny Atkinson revealed that Allen will be limited to around 20 minutes should he play for the home game.

Allen has been made probable to play due to his right knee tendinitis. He hasn't played since March 3 and has already missed the Cavaliers' last 10 games.

The looming return of the star big man can't be more important for the Cavs heading to their last nine games of the regular season and approaching the 2026 NBA Playoffs.

Allen has appeared in 51 games so far this season. He is averaging 15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game across 27.5 minutes.
