Tape Breakdown

The first thing that stands out about Ojukwu is his size. He’s a massive offensive lineman. It allows him to dominate smaller EDGE rushers and defensive linemen at the point of attack and seal off the edge.

He anchors well in pass protection.

However, he can struggle against interior pass-rush moves and is susceptible to being beat by speed.

He also plays with a high pad level, which shows up often when run blocking. He’s an inconsistent run blocker who needs to do a better job controlling his body and moving his man.

He gets good initial contact here but fails to move his assignment leading to a play that goes nowhere.

Against Florida State, he did have some strong moments in pass protection when he was able to win easily.

But even against FCS competition, he has a tendency to struggle with speed.

Another example where he struggles to move his assignment out of the gap against the run.

Conclusion

You can’t teach size, and Ojukwu has plenty of it. But he’s a very raw prospect with limited football experience. His technique across the board is too inconsistent and he needs a lot of improvement as a run blocker. There’s some upside as a pass-protector, and he does have solid athleticism for his size. Overall, he’s a major projection and would need a lot of work to become a viable NFL player.
